Mr. Mika is a strategic leader with a proven record of evaluating, building, and implementing process improvements within and across teams (both in the workplace and in professional management organizations), experience with leading and coaching Team members, field resource allocation, and has built and maintained cooperative teaming relationships. Currently Mr. Mika is a Client Manager, Central Region Area Manager, and Green Bay Office Manager for Tetra Tech's Solid Waste East Operating Unit. Outside of work, Mr. Mika holds many positions with the American Society of Civil Engineers including being a Director on the overarching Society Board as well as chairing the forward-thinking fast-paced Board Strategic Advisory Council. Mr. Mika possesses fifteen years of professional experience in civil and environmental consulting, design and field engineering, construction management, and construction quality assurance for environmental, energy, solid waste, and municipal projects. Engineering experience includes: pre-design project organization; site investigation; technology specific treatability studies; extensive material management plans dealing with multiple waste streams; waste stream profiling for solids, sediments, and liquid; design document preparation and review; engineers opinions of probable cost; bid and specification preparation; on-site construction management and oversight; construction quality assurance; and preparation and review of record drawings and associated reports at solid watse, former manufactured gas plant (MGP) sites and electric utility plant sites. Project management experiences include client contact and correspondence, proposal preparation, project scheduling, budget setup and compliance, technical writing, and correspondence with appropriate federal, state and local agencies. Mr. Mika is a recognized leader on the design and application of ISS technology for waste, manufactured gas plant, and contaminated sediments. He has led both field oversight and design on over 230,000 cubic yards of ISS and the dredging of 572,000 cubic yards of sediment in multiple states. In 2016, Mr. Mika led the design/construction team that earned the ASCE Engineering Achievement Award for the Former Two Rivers MGP Site Time Critical Removal Action. Mr. Mika has been on multiple teams to have earned WEDA Environmental Excellence recognitions for Environmental Dredging.
