Kevin Aswegan is a structural engineer and Senior Principal at Magnusson Klemencic Associates (MKA) with a broad range of experience. He has designed buildings up to 75 stories tall in areas of high seismicity and wind hazards, including ATX Tower in Austin, Texas, which was the world’s first application of the ASCE Prestandard for Performance-Based Wind Design. He is the Vice-Chair of the ASCE/SEI Advancement of Performance-Based Design Committee, is a Voting Member of the Seismic Subcommittee of ASCE/SEI 7, and has been involved in developing next generation seismic design guidelines for Performance-Based Wind and Seismic Design.
