Kirk Ellison, Ph.D., P.E., G.E., Env SP, is Arup’s Americas Ground Engineering Skills Leader. For more than a decade, Kirk has carried out 3D seismic soil-structure interaction analyses for dozens of major building and infrastructure projects, such as the Salesforce Tower, 181 Fremont Tower, Mexico City Airport, Silicon Valley Clean Water Gravity Pipeline, and the Silicon Valley Bart Extension. He received his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2012 and the Outstanding Younger Civil Engineer award from the ASCE San Francisco Section in 2018.
