Malay Ghose Hajra has taught civil and environmental engineering courses for more than 8 years. He is currently the Department chair and Associate Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department and is coordinator of the Coastal Engineering certificate program at the University of New Orleans (UNO). Dr. Ghose Hajra has given many guest lectures, seminars and short courses.
In addition to ASCE, he is a member of the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI)'s Academic committee. He is also a current member of ASCE FEE committee. He received his BS in Civil Engineering from University of North Bengal; his M. Tech. in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur; and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University.
