Michael Sanio is the former Director of Sustainability/International Alliances at the American Society of Civil Engineers where he was responsible for cooperation with global engineering organizations on capacity building worldwide. He was also responsible for managing Global Anti-Corruption Education and Training (ACET) Program led by a worldwide team of educators, engineering professionals and professional media communicators. The Program is being developed to support existing efforts of others to fight bribery, fraud and corruption in the global engineering and construction industry. He managed the ASCE Task Committee on Global Principles for Professional Conduct that developed ASCE’s Anti-Corruption Policy and revised its Code of Ethics incorporating “zero-tolerance” position against bribery, fraud and corruption.
