is a Doctoral Candidate at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in 2010 to investigate detection, response, isolation, and containment of elevated temperatures in landfills. His research interests also include sustainable aluminum recycling and energy applications, transient and unsaturated seepage and slope stability of levees and floodwalls, and risk and reliability in geoenvironmental engineering.
