Sophie Pennetier is a Senior Structural Engineer at Arup in New York. She has been working on various international non-conventional structures and façade projects. Ms. Pennetier has participated in innovative UHPC curtain wall system development with the Liquid Wall project at RFR. In 2010–2011 she joined the industry-academia partnership ARC research on freeform geometry rationalization with RFR, Evolute and Vienna University of Technology, where she developed studies and design tools for laminated cold-bent glass. She is co-author of industry publications related to cold bent glass research. Based in New York since 2012, she is a member of the ASCE-AEI Curtain Wall Committee and the ASTM E06.51.13 Glass Strength Task Group.
