Region 8 Governor Official Nominee

Vision statement

I want to be a leader who inspires future generations of civil engineers, especially women. There are still very few women in this field, often because of financial challenges, family expectations, or the difficulty of the profession. I feel fortunate to have worked in engineering for over a decade, and I want to help others find the same opportunities. My journey was shaped by the encouragement of another female engineer, who motivated me to join the Sothern Idaho Section board and actively contribute to our section. Through organizing events and engaging with students and professionals, I witnessed the enthusiasm and potential that exists when opportunities are accessible. These experiences showed me how important it is to have role models and support. My goal is to continue leading, encouraging others, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome and empowered. I want to help break barriers and make engineering more inclusive, so future generations can succeed and thrive.
