Region 8 Governor Official Nominee
Vision statement
Infrastructure Leaders Building Communities is more than a tagline, it’s a promise that defines who we are as civil engineers and what ASCE stands for. Throughout my time with ASCE, I’ve witnessed our members devote countless hours to advancing our profession through various activities like student competitions, mentoring, and advocating in Washington, D.C. for historic investments in America’s infrastructure.
Yet, our profession faces one of its greatest challenges: declining civil engineering enrollments, fewer participants in ASCE programs, and a growing shortage of engineers entering the workforce. To build the communities of tomorrow, Region 8 must rise to this challenge with bold leadership and renewed purpose.
My vision is simple: to inspire the next generation of infrastructure leaders, young engineers who see civil engineering not just as a career, but as a calling to serve, to innovate, and to build stronger communities for all.
