At the conclusion of the annual global elections of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in May, 2025, Engr. Dr. Emmanuel A. Adeyemo, FASCE, FNSE was elected as the new ASCE Region 10 (International) Society Director. By virtue of being the International Director of ASCE, he automatically becomes a member of the 18-person Board of Direction/Leadership of the American Society of Civil Engineers (in Reston, Virgina) and Chair of the ASCE Region 10 Board of Governors. The Region 10 which is the international region of ASCE comprises of all nations of the world outside the United States (and her territories), Canada and Mexico.

He was inaugurated into office on October 10, 2025 during the 2025 ASCE Conventions in Seattle, Washington, USA.

Dr. Emmanuel Adeyemo, is the 1st President of ASCE Nigeria International Section (2000-2009). In 2008, he was elected the first ASCE Region 10 Governor from Africa, a position he held until 2014. He was also the Supervising Region 10 Board Member for Africa and the Middle East during the same period and earlier in 2002 he was selected as an ASCE 150th Anniversary Champion. He is a regular face at ASCE Annual Conventions and represented ASCE at 2015 World Federation of Engineering Organizations conference in Nigeria where he joined others in putting together an exhibition stand for ASCE. In 2020, he was awarded the ASCE Region 10 Distinguished Service Medal and appointed a member of ASCE Justice, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee in 2021.

Moreover, Dr. Adeyemo, was a Council Member of the Association for Consulting Engineering in Nigeria and initiated the signing of the Agreement of Cooperation between ASCE and Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE) in 2009 and later ASCE Vision 2025 endorsement by NICE. He has been a Director on the Board of ASCE Nigeria International Section since 2000.
