Elected Region 2 Governor

Vision statement

In my first term as Region 2 Governor, I was responsible for starting the Region 2 Younger Member Advisory Group where all YMF chairs in our Region meet quarterly with our Younger Member Representative on the Board to hear about Region activities and for them to voice any concerns they have for the Region. If elected to my second term, I would like to have a similar committee with the Student Chapter Practitioner Advisors to discuss our Region 2 Assembly, MRLC, Student Symposia and Best Practices.

In my first term, I was responsible for establishing two Student Symposia in our Region and participating in the Region Champion Support Team (RCT) meetings. As the Student Relations Chair for the Region, I assisted the Region in implementing a grant program to Student Chapters for attending the Region 2 Assembly and for activities on campus. I would like to continue in my second term to foster a good relationship between the Region, Younger Members and Student Chapters by continuing to encourage them to attend Regional events and to stay active in ASCE at both the local and Society level.
