Vision statement

As a Region 5 Governor, I would strive to support and further ASCE’s mission and vision to develop future civil engineers who are global leaders building a better quality of life for all. ASCE has been an integral part of my professional career. The importance that ASCE provides to our members and larger engineering communities cannot be understated. I believe I can provide quality leadership at ASCE, and I would be honored to serve our engineering community if elected as Region 5 Governor. Knowledge is empowerment. My vision is that empowering our members with knowledge leads to better outcomes. ASCE’s current and expanded efforts to empower our members with more knowledge of ASCE’s global impacts should be properly cultured. Achieving this culture only happens through quality mentorship, which would be one of my primary goals as a Region 5 Governor. Our younger members are the backbone and workhorses of our sections and branches, and as such, they need an individual who has been in their shoes. I would be honored to receive your vote for Region 5 Governor, and I look forward to continuing my service to ASCE in whatever means possible as we work toward a bright future.
