The EWRI Early-Career Professional Practice Award is designed to recognize exceptional early achievements in professional practice (public or private) such as: 1) exceptional early achievements in professional practice. 2) excellence in planning and delivering projects; 3) innovation in professional practice solutions; 4) commitment to serving clients and communities; or 5) collaboration with agencies, industry partners, or stakeholders.
Rules
- An ad-hoc selection committee of three or more members from EWRI Awards Committee (EAC) will be formed and chaired by the vice chair of EAC.
- The selection committee will provide a recommendation to the EAC for their approval.
- Eligibility for the award to those who have been in professional practice for less than 12 years of full-time equivalent experience and is an active member of EWRI, both at the time of nomination.
- Nominees will only be considered for one award type (research, teaching, or professional practice) per year.
Nominations
To nominate, submit the following:
- The Official Award Nomination form,
- a statement describing accomplishments (i.e., the nomination letter),
- a curriculum vitae and
- 2-3 letters of support from peers and leaders in addition to the nomination letter.
The complete nomination package should be submitted as one file via email to [email protected] by October 1 of each year. Nominees will remain under consideration for a period of up to three years.
