Embodied Carbon Boot Camp Scholarships
The Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) recognizes the critical role that academics and students play in advancing low carbon structural design. To help expand knowledge, build capacity, and support meaningful participation, SEI is offering a limited number of scholarships to attend the Embodied Carbon Boot Camp, funded by the SEI Futures Fund.
These scholarships are intended to support faculty and students who want to deepen their understanding of embodied carbon and apply that knowledge through teaching, research, and professional engagement.
Scholarship Support
The following support is available:
- Faculty Scholarships (4 available):
- Travel to attend the Embodied Carbon Boot Camp (14-day advance purchase required)
- $175 per diem for up to two days of lodging reimbursement
- Student Scholarships (4 available):
- Travel to attend the Embodied Carbon Boot Camp (14-day advance purchase required)
- Boot Camp registration
- $175 per diem for up to two days of lodging reimbursement
Eligibility
Student Applicants
- Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student
- Must be a current SEI student member in good standing (SEI membership is free with ASCE student membership)
Faculty Applicants
- Must be full time teaching faculty
- Must be a current SEI member in good standing (ASCE members receive one free institute membership. Additional memberships may be added for $30/institute)

Applicants must complete the appropriate scholarship application form (Student or Faculty) and submit all required materials by the deadline below.
