There are many civil engineers all over the country who dedicate their time to supporting DiscoverE’s international Future City Competition. What is it about Future City that brings volunteers back year after year, and why does it remain such a powerful model for engaging the next generation? This session explores how the program invites students to imagine, design, and build cities of tomorrow using real world engineering principles. Participants will learn how Future City fosters systems thinking, sustainability, and practical design while creating meaningful connections between students, educators, and engineer mentors.
