Ahmad Alhasan, Ph.D., P.E., M.ASCE, serves as a Senior Technical Advisor in Foundations and Pavements at HNTB. With over a decade of academic and practical experience, Ahmad led numerous projects funded by FHWA, NCHRP, and Highway transportation agencies. He specializes in geotechnical asset management (GAM), resilience-based design of geotechnical assets and foundations (GRBD), pavement design and evaluation, pavement surface evaluation, transportation asset management, and emerging topics in artificial intelligence data management and probability theory for decision making under uncertainty. Ahmad has pioneered several frameworks from contactless tire-pavement traction models to resilience-based design methods for pavements and geotechnical applications. He authored and presented over 80 technical papers, webinars, and presentations in a wide range of topical areas. Dr. Alhasan is a lecture teaching foundations engineering at Iowa State University.
