James J. Seli has been providing geotechnical engineering and construction observation and testing consulting services for over 32 years. He is currently a Principal and Technical Director for geotechnical engineering and construction observation and testing services for Schnabel Engineering. Schnabel Engineering is a multi-discipline consulting firm offering geotechnical engineering, geostructural, environmental, dam engineering and construction observation and testing services. Mr. Seli received his bachelor and master engineering degrees from Virginia Tech. He also holds a post-baccalaureate certificate in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University. During his career, Mr. Seli has acted as geotechnical project manager and senior reviewer on a wide range of projects. He served as Branch Manager of Schnabel’s Richmond, Virginia office from 1997 to 2008, and served on Schnabel’s Board of Directors for 11 years. Mr. Seli’s experience includes highways and bridges; dams, port, harbor and shipyard facilities; military installations; power plants; industrial facilities; and office buildings. Mr. Seli is a member of DFI, ADSC, ASHE, and ADSDO.
