Peter Koonce is a transportation professional with nearly 20 years of experience. He has served as the Manager for the City of Portland Bureau of Transportation's Signals, Street Lighting, & ITS Division. Peter has worked in private practice with Kittelson & Associates, Inc. He has also worked on transportation projects across the U.S. and Canada, including significant research projects for the National Cooperative Highway Research Program. He has served as an adjunct professor at Portland State University teaching graduate level courses in transportation engineering for the past eight years. He is also active with the Transportation Research Board and was recently appointed Chair of the Committee on Traffic Signal Systems.
