Dr. Osborne is a professional geoscientist with more than 37 years of global research and consulting experience in coastal and riverine dynamics. He has led a number of hazard and risk assessments and the design of mitigation for erosion and flooding in the context of environmentally threatened communities in the north and published over 60 peer reviewed articles in science and engineering journals related to sediment dynamics and geomorphology. Phil is the president of the Coastal Zone Canada Association and on the executive of the Nature-based Coastal Solutions Community of Practice.
