Steven Smith is Senior Technical Specialist at ATMG, Las Vegas, Nevada and is an engineer with training in nondestructive testing, welding inspection and structural steel connections. For over 10 years he has performed structural inspections and nondestructive testing on various theatrical structures, acrobatic assemblies and amusement rides. As an AWS certified welding inspector and NAARSO amusement ride inspector, Mr. Smith has extensive experience in weld analysis, structural stress determination and corrosion assessment and mitigation. Prior to ATMG, Mr. Smith was the onsite Facilities Manager for the Yucca Mountain Waste Repository test facilities in Nevada.
