Teng Wu is a Professor in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at the University at Buffalo and a recognized leader in wind engineering and infrastructure resilience. His research focuses on nonlinear and transient bluff-body aerodynamics, performance-based wind design, and community resilience to hurricane-related hazards, including wind, rain, and storm surge. Wu has advanced analytical and computational methods that support safer and more resilient infrastructure. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Wind Engineering and as Associate Editor for several leading ASCE journals. Internationally, he holds leadership roles with the International Association for Wind Engineering, the American Association for Wind Engineering, and IABSE-USA. He is also actively involved in numerous ASCE committees, including leadership positions related to fluid dynamics, climate extremes, wind loads, bridge engineering, and performance-based design, helping shape research, standards, and engineering practice across the profession.
