Society Awards Committee (SAC)
Purpose:
The Society Awards Committee shall annually consider and recommend to the Board of Direction nominations for Distinguished Membership in the Society in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws; recommend to the Executve Committee the recipient of the Norman, Croes, Wellington, and ASCE State of the Art of Civil Engineering prizes; recommend to the Executive Committee nominations for the OPAL awards; oversee Society Award endowments and the establishment of new Society Awards, oversee Society scholarship endowments and th establishment of new Society scholarships, and consider nominations for and award scholarships.
