ASCE SPONSORED WEBINAR provided by Hobas Pipe.
Hobas Pipes are widely recognized as a premier product for large-diameter gravity sewer pipelines. However, they also have a deep and rich history in pressurized systems. One of the earliest projects, a 150,000-foot installation of 18-inch diameter, 150 psi pressure class pipe in Odessa, dates back to 1987 for the Houston plant.
Over the past decade, the use of fiberglass pipes in pressure systems has significantly increased across the United States. Major municipalities and agencies are now incorporating fiberglass pressure pipes into their standards due to their exceptional qualities, including:
- Expected service life of 150 years or more
- Inherent corrosion resistance
- Custom fittings
- Forgiving joint capable of performing at pressures up to 450 psi
This webinar will cover:
- The correct way to design and specify fiberglass pipes in pressurized systems, adhering to ASTM D3754 and AWWA C950 standards.
- Valuable insights from lessons learned during recent fiberglass pressure project installations.
This session is particularly beneficial for owners of pipelines larger than 18 inches in diameter, as well as engineering consultants who support these owners. You can expect to gain crucial insights to ensure the success of your future projects.
