ASCE has honored Richard J. Bathurst, Ph.D., M.ASCE; Tony M. Allen, P.E., M.ASCE; Peiyuan Lin; and Nezam Bozorgzadeh with the 2021 Thomas A. Middlebrooks Award for the paper “LRFD Calibration of Internal Limit States for Geogrid MSE Walls,” published in the November 2019 issue of Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering.
The Thomas A. Middlebrooks Award recognizes a paper published by the Society judged worthy of special commendation for its merit as a contribution to geotechnical engineering. Papers written by young engineers are given preference.
