Reese Research Prize for the paper “Proposed Panel Zone Model for Seismic Design of Steel Moment-Resisting Frames,” Journal of Structural Engineering, April 2021.
The authors propose a new mechanics-based model for seismic design and analysis of beam-to-column panel zone joints as part of steel moment resisting frames (MRFs), an innovation that will be a great asset to the structural engineering profession.
