Greg Sepeda, P.E., F.ASCE, founder and principal consultant of Gregory P. Sepeda Consulting LLC, has been named a fellow by the ASCE Board of Direction.
Sepeda has more than 30 years of experience leading complex infrastructure projects and guiding organizations through transformation. He spent much of his career at Sigma Consulting Group, where he advanced to vice president and chief engineer, overseeing technical quality, project delivery, staff development, and business operations. His leadership helped position the firm for acquisition by Waggoner Engineering in 2022. Following the acquisition, he served as vice president of business operations for Waggoner’s Louisiana office, aligning processes and teams and improving operational performance.
Throughout his career, Sepeda has earned the trust of public agencies to provide independent oversight on high-risk infrastructure projects where sound engineering judgment, coordination, and risk awareness were critical to project success. His experience spans project delivery, quality management, risk assessment, operational leadership, and organizational development.
In 2024, he launched Gregory P. Sepeda Consulting LLC, where he advises engineering firms and executives on leadership development, project delivery systems, and quality management. His work focuses on helping organizations strengthen communication, improve decision-making, and develop future leaders while maintaining technical excellence and client trust.
Sepeda has remained active in professional and community service throughout his career. He has served in leadership roles within ASCE and other engineering organizations, volunteered with the Baton Rouge Jaycees, served on his church’s building committee, and currently volunteers as a docent at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum. He also continues to serve as a guest lecturer for the College of Engineering at Louisiana State University.
A native of Baton Rouge, Sepeda earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Louisiana State University and is a licensed professional engineer.
