Committee On Technical Advancement

The Committee on Technical Advancement has the following constituent committees:

• Aerospace Division
  Charge: Incubate advanced and emerging technologies and promote their transfer to civil engineering applications./li>
• Codes & Standards Committee
  Charge: Oversee the Society's Codes and Standards development activities, maintains the American National Standards Institute accreditation, and enforces the ASCE Rules for Standards Committees.
• Cold Regions Division
  Charge: Identify, assess, and report effects of cold region environment upon engineering design, construction and operations and to make recommendations for advancement of scientific knowledge and practice in engineering solution of cold region problems.
• Committee on Adaptation to Changing Climate
  Charge: Identify and communicate the technical requirements and civil engineering challenges for adaptation to climate change.
• Committee on Sustainability
  Charge: Direct, oversee, and coordinate ASCE's actions in making sustainability, including resilience and the impacts of climate change, the foundation of the built environment globally.
• Computing Division
  Charge: Incubate advanced and emerging technologies and promote their transfer to civil engineering applications.
• Energy Division
  Charge: Provide leadership on technical, professional and policy issues that bear on energy in all its forms.
• Forensic Engineering Division
  Charge: Develop practices and procedures to reduce the number of failures, disseminate information on failures and their causes, provide guidelines for conducting failure investigations, and provide guidelines for ethical conduct in forensic engineering.
• Infrastructure Resilience Division
  Charge: Serve the civil engineering profession in advancing civil infrastructure and lifeline systems for local, regional, and national resilience against all hazards.
