Changing Climate
Adaptation to a changing climate involves research and its effects on the safety, health and welfare of the public as it interfaces with civil engineering infrastructure.
The Committee on Adaptation to a Changing Climate was formed in 2011 to evaluate the technical requirements and civil engineering challenges for adapting to a changing climate.

Adaptation to a Changing Climate Technical Notes
The Committee on Adaptation to a Changing Climate introduces Technical Notes on different climate adaptation topics in civil engineering, including Predicting Future Precipitation Intensity, Duration and Frequency; Using Federal Sea Level Rise Projections in Civil Engineering Practice, and more.
Visit the Committee on Adaptation to a Changing Climate Online Community to view the Technical Notes.

Sustainable development
ASCE civil engineering research supports key UN Sustainable Development Goals. Researchers and practicing civil engineers are actively seeking solutions to make our environment more resilient and sustainable for future generations.
