Singapore Section (2012)

The Singapore Section was established on 2012, after its successful operation as an ASCE International Group since 2002.

The purpose of ASCE sections is to provide local engagement for ASCE members through meetings, guest speakers, networking, professional development at all career stages, technical content, event notices and resource information, support to ASCE Student Members and their transition to professional membership. Successful operation under the leadership of Section Officers relies on the efforts and engagement in activities by all Section members.

Site Visit to Hougang Interchange Station & Tunnels (CRL Project)

The Singapore Section organized a site visit to the Hougang Interchange Station and Tunnels on October 4, 2025, offering members a rare look at one of Singapore’s most complex underground projects linking the Cross Island Line and North East Line. Attendees observed cross-tunnel excavation in progress and gained valuable insights into precision engineering, construction techniques, and safety practices from project teams led by ARUP Singapore Pte Ltd and Samsung C&T Corporation.
