Volunteer at an ASCE Student Symposia
Volunteers are needed as judges, speakers, and event support.
Twenty-one ASCE Student Symposia take place in the spring each year and include competitions, professional and personal development, and networking opportunities as a celebration of civil engineering and the ASCE community.
The 2027 ASCE Society Competitions are:
- ASCE Concrete Canoe Competition
- AISC/ASCE Student Steel Bridge Competition
- ASCE Sustainable Solutions Competition
- ASCE UESI Surveying Competition
- Timber-Strong Design Build Competition (Pilot Competition)
- ASCE 3-D Printing Competition (Pilot Competition)
- Student Symposium Paper Competition
- ASCE Construction Institute Student Symposium Competition (Pilot Competition - in 2027, this competition will be conducted at a limited number of symposia -- Gulf Coast, Southeast, and Pacific Southwest)
- and other local competitions offered by hosts.
The ASCE Civil Engineering Student Championships (CESC) also needs volunteers and event support. The competitions that compete in CESC are the Concrete Canoe Competition, the Sustainable Solutions Competition, and the ASCE/UESI Surveying Competition Finals.
The 2027 ASCE Civil Engineering Student Championships will take place at Kansas State University June 17-19, 2027.
