    Construction Engineering Certificate Program

ASCE's new Construction Engineering Certificate Program will provide the fundamental skills, knowledge, tools, and techniques you need to take a leadership role in construction project management.

In these 6-week courses, you'll be taught from the unique insight and knowledge of a master's level instructor who is highly experienced in construction engineering: Douglas D. Gransberg, Ph.D., P.E., FRICS, M.ASCE and Nils J. Gransberg.

This course teaches the fundamentals of contract law, forms, and administration. Both commercial and public contract forms are included.
This course teaches the fundamentals of construction cost estimating, including the development of a work breakdown structure. Technical focus is on QTO for typical structural systems, including earthwork, reinforced concrete, and brick/block.
This course teaches the fundamentals of pricing a typical lump sum contract, including development of direct and indirect costs, applying profit margins, and putting the estimate together to develop a responsive lump sum bid package.
This course teaches the fundamentals of traditional and alternative project delivery. Design-bid-build, design-build, construction manager-at-risk, and public private partnerships are included.
