Are you looking to get involved in the revision of an ASCE/SEI Standard?
The ASCE/SEI 11 – Structural Condition Assessment of Existing Buildings Committee is seeking new members to participate in updating this standard.
A review of Assessment, Evaluation, and Report processes and procedures used to assess existing buildings intend to be included as well as standardized processes and evaluation statements needed to perform these assessments. The standard includes typical materials used in construction of buildings and consider various environmental hazards and deterioration conditions that existing buildings across the United States are subjected to. This standard will include resource standards on building materials and other areas related to the intended use and/or performance of existing buildings.
The committee for this cycle will be chaired by Heather Anesta, P.E., S.E.
Practicing engineers, researchers, building officials, contractors and construction product representatives are all needed and welcome. Young professionals are encouraged to apply to participate in this revision effort!
