Marinas and Large Floating Structures

Purpose:

The committee will continue to work on the advancement of the planning, design, and engineering of small craft harbors and large floating concrete structures. As part of our outreach and education program, we will present short courses on small craft harbor and large floating structures design at professional/technical conferences such as PORTS. The committee will continue to research and develop sustainable engineering approaches to support and update ASCE Manual 50 on Small Craft Harbors. In addition, the committee will work towards a manual on the planning and design of large floating concrete structures such as breakwaters, bridges, and marine terminals
