To foster and promote

1. initiatives for mentoring of early career EMI members, with priority given to members from
female and underrepresented minorities;
2. strategies for diversity and inclusion of members in EMI activities and leadership;
3. coordination and cross-pollination of effective mentoring, diversity, and inclusion strategies
within EMI technical committees; and
4. learning from mentoring, diversity, and inclusion efforts in industry, government, and
academia
