TC On Inspecting Pipeline Installations

Purpose:

To make revisions and improvements to the contents of the first edition of the Manual of Practice 117: Inspecting Pipeline Installation (ASCE 2009), which describes construction methods and procedures for installing the common types of pipes used to transport water and wastewater. This MOP provides discussions of proper installation practices including earthwork, for ten different types of common pipes, including: steel, corrugated steel, ductile iron, prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, bar-wrapped concrete, vitrified clay, PVC, high density polyethylene, and fiberglass reinforced pipes, focusing on the needs of field personnel, specifically constructors, and inspectors.
