AEI PPA juror enrollment
What makes a good juror?
For the nine specific categories we’re looking for discipline experts to review and judge the submitted materials to determine awards of excellence (best) and awards of merit (typically the second and third highest rated). Our goal is to have between 3 and 5 jurors for each category.
Juror criteria are as follows:
- Experience: Jurors should have approximately 10 years of experience in the category they are judging. Specialized knowledge or experience may also qualify candidates. Experience may be academic or professional. We will evaluate credentials on a case-by-case basis
- Integrity: Jury members should be honest and judge fairly.
- Impartiality: Jury members should be impartial. Submission of a project by your company will not disqualify someone from being a jury member, but jury members will not vote on projects by their company.
- Willingness to donate time to review and rate submission materials. Submission materials include: an abstract; a project summary (may include multiple summaries if projects are submitted for multiple categories); an entry form; and a PowerPoint slide deck showing project highlights. The overall effort depends on the number of submissions received.
Proper judging requires reviewing all projects for the category you are judging. We also ask judges to review all projects when voting for the Best Overall and Most Innovative awards.
