The Journal of Dredging, published by the Western Dredging Association (WEDA), is planning a special edition dedicated to the memory of Tim Welp, ERDC, who passed away unexpectedly in June 2021.
Tim was active in COPRI and WEDA working on a wide range of projects related to dredging, dredging equipment, and managing dredged sediments. Tim served as the Chair of the Waterways Committee from 2009 until 2014. He continued to be active with that committee until his passing. Tim lent his expertise as a co-chair on the task committees on Dredging Operations, Nautical Depth, and Navigation during that time. Tim also served on the planning committee for COPRI's Dredging 2012 conference.
If you are interested in contributing a manuscript to Tim's dedicated issue, draft manuscripts are required by November 1 to start the review process. If you have a partially completed manuscript or have a dataset that you haven't gotten around to publishing, this is a great opportunity to honor Tim's memory.
