Currents Newsletter Committee

To provide a focal point in EWRI for collecting, organizing and disseminating information related to the history and heritage of water resources and environmental engineering. A primary goal of the committee is to sponsor and organize one or more history-related sessions at each EWRI Congress and at ASCE National Conventions when possible. In addition the committee will plan to organize or co-sponsor a symposium or set of sessions dealing with a historical water resources or environmental theme with a separate proceedings at least once every five years. The committee also compiles and maintains information on Society and non-Society awards to EWRI members and collects and maintains information on Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) projects and National and International Historic Civil Engineering Landmarks (NHCELs) related to EWRI’s areas of interest.
