The Structural Engineering Institute of the American Civil Engineers has been contacted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology to hold a workshop to understand the current state-of-the-art of Performance-Based Wind Design to support future development of a Measurement Science Roadmap for advancing the knowledge in this area and its application in practice. The two-day in-person only workshop will be hosted at ASCE Headquarters in Reston Virginia on February 23-24, 2023. It is open on a first come, first served basis to members of the public, as space is limited. Covering topics such as wind climate characteristics, system reliability, wind-structure interaction, structural analysis techniques and design, this workshop will be particularly attractive for structural engineers, building officials, researchers, and government agency representatives.

Register by January 31, 2023. We will notify you the week of February 6, 2023, to let you know if you secured a spot at the workshop.

We hope you will consider joining us for this exciting workshop!
