Purpose and Background

This webinar, presented by the SEI Solar PV Structures technical committee, will be a high-level overview of the key content and guidance of MOP 162, Design and Construction of Solar PV Structures Manual of Practice such as ground-mounted, rooftop and other solar PV structure types. The session is intended to preview the practical interpretation of the manual’s guidance for the practicing engineer in fields such as structural, solar PV, foundation, geotechnical, and corrosion. The webinar seeks to introduce the conversation to address the ongoing pain point within the field around consistency and alignment of guidance for design and construction of solar PV structures which will be expanded upon in the following webinars in the series.
