Structural engineering alum Xu Han ’23 PhD and his doctoral advisor Professor Dan M. Frangopol have been awarded the ASCE 2024 Alfred Noble Prize, an esteemed interdisciplinary award from a consortium of professional societies, administered by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Following article 7.4.3 of the EMI bylaws, the 2024 slate of candidates for open position on the Board of Governors was established. The elections ran from May 23 to June 24 and Professor Chloé Arson was elected by the membership to serve from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2027.
