EWRI Vice President Election

The Environmental and Water Resources Institute’s Nominations Committee has unanimously decided to recommend that both David Chin, Ph.D., P.E., BCEE, F.ASCE and Sri Kamojjala, P.E., BC.WRE, M.ASCE be placed on the EWRI ballot as the Official Nominees for EWRI Vice President on the EWRI Governing Board for FY2026.

Voting for the EWRI FY2026 Vice President election begins on Sunday, June 1st. Eligible voting members will receive their voting credentials via email by that date.

Any EWRI member in good standing may file a petition nomination with the EWRI Director, no later than June 1, 2025. Petitions for such nominations must contain the signatures of at least 200 individual voting members of the EWRI. Petition Nominee(s) will be so designated on the ballot. Petitions must be in accordance with the EWRI Bylaws as stated in the most current ASCE Official Register.

Low Impact Development Conference - Call for Abstracts

The Low Impact Development (LID) Conference highlights interdisciplinary practice, research, and implementation of Low Impact Development, Green Infrastructure, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems and Water Sensitive Urban Designs.

If you are involved in a LID research effort that incorporates green infrastructure, sustainability, engineering, or a related field, and want to share your ideas with your fellow engineers and academia, then submit your abstract by August 1, 2025!


Watershed Management Conference

As rules regarding federal, municipal, and academic employee participation in conferences are evolving, and considering the importance, especially of the federal employee participation in the Watershed Management Conference series, we have opted to postpone the conference until August 10-12, 2026. We will offer the event in a hybrid format to provide maximum participation for our attendees.

The abstract submissions will reopen on September 17, 2025, and abstracts will be due November 19, 2025. If you have already submitted an abstract, it will automatically be included for consideration at that time, unless otherwise requested.
